OVERVIEW

ChoreLord helps families manage chores, quests, rewards, points, goals, and family activity. This policy explains what information ChoreLord collects, how it is used, and the choices available to families.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect account and family information, including parent email addresses, display names, family profiles, child display names, chore assignments, chore submissions, reward requests, reward suggestions, point activity, notification activity, and membership status.

If a parent or child chooses to upload images, we may collect profile photos, family photos, and chore proof photos.

If notifications are enabled, we collect device push notification tokens so family workflow notifications can be delivered.

If a family purchases ChoreLord Premium, we process App Store subscription product IDs, transaction IDs, original transaction IDs, expiration dates, and entitlement status.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information to create and manage family accounts; let parents assign and review chores; let children submit chores and request rewards; track points, goals, streaks, challenges, and history; send family workflow notifications; provide Premium membership features; validate App Store purchases; maintain security and prevent abuse; troubleshoot issues; and provide customer support.

CHILDREN

ChoreLord is designed for family use under parent direction. Parents can create managed child profiles without requiring a child email address. Children can connect a device through a parent-generated setup code. Parents are responsible for creating, managing, and supervising child accounts in their family. Before creating a managed child profile, the adult confirms that they are the child's parent or legal guardian and consents to the processing described in this policy. Independent child login requests remain pending until a parent or guardian in the family approves them.

ChoreLord is not intended for a child to create an unsupervised family account. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate parent or guardian authorization, contact us so we can review and delete it.

SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PURCHASES

ChoreLord Premium purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store payment card information. We store subscription entitlement information so Premium features can be enabled for the family.

Deleting a ChoreLord account or family does not cancel an App Store subscription. Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

COMMUNITY CONTENT

Parents may submit chore ideas for possible inclusion in the shared community catalog. Submissions are reviewed before publication. Users can report published items, and OviTech Solutions may remove content or suspend a family for serious or repeated violations of the community guidelines. Community submissions must not contain personal information, contact details, harassment, sexual content, threats, illegal content, or content unsafe for children.

SHARING

We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for third-party advertising.

We use service providers, including Firebase and Apple services, to operate authentication, database, file storage, push notifications, cloud functions, and purchase validation.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to enforce app policies.

DATA RETENTION

We keep account and family data while an account is active or as needed to provide the service. Chore proof and denial photos are scheduled for deletion after 60 days. When an approved deletion request enters the deletion hold, affected data is disabled immediately and scheduled for permanent deletion after 14 days. Completed deletion-request audit records are stripped of names, user IDs, family IDs, free-form reasons, and authentication IDs.

Limited records may be retained only when required for security, fraud prevention, legal, or accounting obligations. When retention is required, access is restricted and the data is deleted or de-identified when the obligation ends.

ACCOUNT AND DATA REQUESTS

Parents can initiate deletion for their own account, another managed family member, or the entire family in ChoreLord under Profile > Data Deletion. Requests are reviewed, immediately disabled when approved, and permanently deleted after the 14-day hold. Parents may contact support to correct data or to cancel a deletion during the hold.

SECURITY

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

CHANGES

We may update this policy as ChoreLord changes. The updated policy will show a new effective date.
