CHORELORD TERMS OF USE

ChoreLord is operated by OviTech Solutions, LLC ("OviTech," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ChoreLord mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, joining a family, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using ChoreLord for a child, you represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and may accept these Terms on the child's behalf.
1. FAMILY ACCOUNTS AND PARENT RESPONSIBILITY
ChoreLord is designed for family use under parent or guardian direction. Adults create and manage family accounts, child profiles, permissions, chores, rewards, and device access. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising child use, approving independent child access, and reviewing the content and rewards used within their family. Children may not create or operate an unsupervised family account.
You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials, setup codes, and devices connected to your family. Notify us promptly if you believe an account or device has been used without authorization.
2. ACCEPTABLE USE
You may use ChoreLord only for lawful, personal, and family purposes. You may not:
• harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, or harm another person;
• submit sexual, abusive, hateful, violent, illegal, deceptive, or child-unsafe content;
• include a child's full name, contact information, school, precise location, or other sensitive identifying information in community content;
• infringe another person's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• attempt to access another family, account, device, or system without authorization;
• interfere with the Service, bypass security controls, introduce malicious code, scrape content, or reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law permits; or
• use ChoreLord for commercial resale, advertising, or automated data collection without our written permission.
3. USER CONTENT AND OWNERSHIP
"User Content" includes text, photos, chore or quest descriptions, reward ideas, comments, profile information, proof photos, and other material submitted through the Service.
You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant OviTech a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, transmit, and use that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, moderate, and improve ChoreLord. We may permit service providers acting on our behalf to process User Content for those same limited purposes.
This license ends when the content is deleted, except to the extent copies are reasonably retained in backups, required for legal or safety purposes, needed to resolve disputes or prevent abuse, or remain visible to others because you shared the content with them.
You represent that you own your User Content or have all permissions needed to submit it, and that its submission and use under these Terms do not violate any law or another person's rights.
4. PRIVATE FAMILY CONTENT AND COMMUNITY CONTENT
Family content is intended to remain within the applicable family unless a user intentionally submits it to a community feature, support channel, or other sharing feature.
Community submissions may be reviewed and, if approved, displayed to other users. Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring community submissions do not include a child's photo, full name, contact details, school, precise location, or other identifying information. Children may not publish community content without parent or guardian involvement and approval.
5. MODERATION, REPORTING, AND REMOVAL
We may review, filter, reject, restrict, or remove User Content and may suspend or terminate access when we reasonably believe content or conduct violates these Terms, creates a safety risk, infringes rights, disrupts the Service, or is otherwise unlawful. We are not required to pre-screen all content.
Users can report community content through ChoreLord's in-app reporting tools or by contacting info@ovitechsolutions.com. Reports should identify the content and explain the concern. We may preserve relevant information while reviewing safety, abuse, or legal reports.
6. COPYRIGHT AND RIGHTS COMPLAINTS
If you believe content in ChoreLord infringes your copyright or other rights, contact info@ovitechsolutions.com and provide:
• identification of the work or right claimed to be infringed;
• identification and location of the content at issue;
• your name and contact information;
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized; and
• a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights owner or authorized to act for the owner.
We may remove or restrict allegedly infringing content and may suspend repeat infringers where appropriate.
7. CHORES, REWARDS, POINTS, AND FAMILY DECISIONS
Points, streaks, goals, rewards, challenges, and similar features are family-management tools and have no cash value unless expressly stated. OviTech is not responsible for a family member's promises, chores, reward decisions, disputes, or failure to provide a reward. Parents and guardians are responsible for choosing age-appropriate, safe chores and rewards and for supervising physical activities.
8. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PURCHASES
ChoreLord Premium subscriptions are purchased through Apple and are subject to Apple's payment and subscription terms. Prices and available plans are shown before purchase. Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled through your Apple account. Deleting a ChoreLord account or family does not cancel an App Store subscription. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, billing, refunds, and payment disputes are handled under Apple's applicable policies.

10. SERVICE AVAILABILITY AND CHANGES
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, impose reasonable limits, or perform maintenance. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may update these Terms as ChoreLord changes. The updated Terms will show a new effective date, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
11. TERMINATION
You may stop using ChoreLord at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, safety risks, unlawful conduct, fraud, abuse, nonpayment, or conduct that materially harms users, OviTech, or the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, licenses for retained copies, disclaimers, limitations, disputes, and indemnity—will survive.
12. DISCLAIMERS
ChoreLord is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, OviTech disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. ChoreLord is a family organization tool and does not replace parent or guardian judgment, supervision, medical advice, legal advice, or professional safety guidance. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OviTech and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or use arising from or related to ChoreLord. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid OviTech for ChoreLord during the 12 months before the claim or US $100. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.
14. INDEMNITY
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold OviTech harmless from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your User Content, or your material violation of these Terms. This section does not require indemnification for OviTech's own unlawful conduct.
15. APPLE TERMS
If you obtained ChoreLord through Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These Terms supplement that agreement for ChoreLord's accounts, family features, community content, subscriptions, and services. Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for ChoreLord except as required by applicable law.

16. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent the law where you live requires otherwise. Any dispute that is not required to be handled in another forum by applicable law will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Pender County, North Carolina, and you consent to those courts' jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you cannot waive under applicable consumer law.
